1. Product Introduction

FUSHUN METAL supplies 1.4006 (X12Cr13, AISI 410, JIS SUS410, BS 410S21) martensitic stainless steel round bar produced and inspected to EN 10088. As a 12% chromium grade, 1.4006 combines moderate corrosion resistance with high strength that is developed by heat treatment rather than cold work. The steel is ferromagnetic in every condition and polishes to a bright, near-mirror finish, which also improves its corrosion behaviour. It machines and welds well, making it a versatile engineering choice. 6. Mechanical Properties

Properties depend strongly on heat treatment. FUSHUN METAL controls hardening at 950 - 1010°C (oil or air quench) and tempering at 150 - 700°C, avoiding the 425 - 525°C embrittlement zone, with infrared pyrometric monitoring and a documented tempering curve for every QT order.

7. Delivery Condition and Surface Finish

Delivery condition: Annealed (+A); Quenched & Tempered (QT650 / QT800 / QT900).

Surface condition: Black (as rolled / forged), Rough turned, Peeled, Ground, Polished, Pickled.

All FUSHUN METAL 1.4006 bars are shipped with EN 10204 3.1 certificates. Quenched-tempered orders can include the heat-treatment record and tempering curve on request, confirming the ISO 9001 controlled process from melt analysis and forging-temperature control through final inspection and dispatch.
