Description
1.2842 tool steel is cold work die steel. The steel is easy to forge, annealing, good process ability, toughness, harden ability is low, with a strong tendency to suppress heat sensitivity and gelatinous precipitation of carbides in China has been widely used. The steel compared to carbon tool steel, and has good hardness and wear resistance, good punching capacity, quenching deformation is small, requiring hardness 63HRC.
