Heat treatment
Hardness :Annealed(+A) max: 235BHN
H14 tool steel when heat-treatment the preheat Temperature need reach 788°C, and the temperature may be ± 14 °C .
H14 tool steel when austenitizing ,should keep 5-15 minutes long. If is the salt bath ,temperature should keep in the 1038 °C,and shall be ± 5.6 °C. Or is the controlled atmosphere furnaces, temperature should keep in the 1052 °C,and shall be ± 5.6 °C.
Quenching: H14 tool steel Hardening quenching using air cooling, and it's hardness min is 55 RC.
Tempering: H14 tool steel general tempering temperature is 552°C. Double tempering of Double tempering of H14 tool steel is recommended.
Application:
For the manufacture of large impact load forging dies, hot extrusion die, forging die; aluminum, copper and alloy die-casting mold
Product Description
American H14 tool steel are chromium - tungsten hot work die steel, H13, represented than chromium - molybdenum hot work die steel a higher red hardness and wear resistance; remelting capacity steel, the steel has high hardenability permeability and thermal cracking capacity, the steel contains a high content of carbon and vanadium, wear resistance, toughness is relatively weakened, has good heat resistance, and has good strength and hardness at higher temperatures, high wear resistance and toughness, excellent mechanical properties and high resistance to tempering stability.
